Daniel Sandler Master Class

On Saturday 13th April  I attended a masterclass by Daniel Sandler hosted by The Simon Seminars at the London College of Fashion near Oxford Street. The lovely Simon, who is Daniels partner; is currently setting up a business to host a series of Masterclass events.

This event was the first and who better than the wonderfully talented Daniel Sandler to kick start these sessions.
It was strange for me going back to LCF as I trained there and also worked there on the HND Fashion Makeup programme from 1991 - 1998. There is a real legacy of makeup artists who trained at this college including Daniel, Caroline Barnes, Polly Osmond, Liz Martins, Martin Carter, Petros Petrochilos, Michelle Taylor, Tanya Noor, Sara Tyndale, Justine Jenkins, the list is endless........

So on my arrival the room was crowded with an assortment of ladies and even a few gentlemen. Some of the audience were industry based, others were avid followers of the Daniel Sandler makeup range.
Simon gave a really interesting introduction to Daniel and as soon as Daniel entered the lecture theatre there was a real buzz in the room. He seems to create a very relaxed atmosphere in large crowds with his humour and natural charm.

Throughout the session Daniel created an assortment of looks on 3 models ranging from a lovely lady who was approaching a "big" birthday; to an old friend and model who Daniel still works with today. What I loved most was the information Daniel gave us while he was working. This was continuous and offered brilliant tips on applications, tools and products. I learnt lots of new information about the Daniel Sandler range which inspired me to invest in even more of the range. One of which was the "Invisible Radiance Foundation" this has its own concealer in the top section of the lid so it offers a duel purpose product. This is a great product with a wide assortment of colours and is very economical in your own makeup bag or in a makeup kit. I also found out about the other ranges Daniel still uses in his makeup kit when working and enjoyed hearing about some of his personal favourites from other brands. This information was shared freely and expertly from years of experience working in the makeup industry.

The audience were relaxed and confident to ask questions throughout the session. I feel this is part of Daniels natural style, he puts people at ease and offered really constructive answers too with a great sense of humour. Daniel knows his market and gets to know his customers too as I noticed he remembered some of the attendees from a wide range of areas including twitter and QVC.

It was interesting to hear about Daniels venture into creating videos for a selection of companies as well as his own You Tube channel. I also learnt more about the varying shades of foundation in the Daniel Sandler range and the depth of the colour ranges from fair to dark. This range offers a shade for everyone and that is simply what the Daniel Sandler range was created for.  All women, regardless of age, skin type, skin colour infact the range is complimentary for men and women.

Really interesting morning, great company and a complimentary goody bag with some very welcome treats from the Daniel Sandler range. I would recommend these workshops to anyone starting out in makeup, for anyone who wants to know more about applying makeup or anyone interested in the product range. Daniel is a very talented makeup artist, I love watching him work and I really like the products. Its a win win and if anyone gets the chance, definately book to see one of his master classes.
